The Black Harvest Group is a joint venture between Mantei Farms and GBT Angus. We are two breeders who are dedicated to the betterment of the Angus breed and commercial cattle industry with the genetics we supply. The Black Harvest sale was established in 1986 with the first female sale and 1992 saw the first bull sale. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan seen the establishment of the sales group with Johnston Auction Mart being the marketing venue and Prefontaines feedlot is where the bulls were developed.

The group has seen many changes since that first annual sale some twenty plus years ago, including members and even a switch in sales venues. In 2004 an east and west division was created with Collin and Micheles' Windy Willows Farms holding their own on farm sale(west division) and us moving back towards home to better serve our customers in south east Saskatchewan (east division). To avoid  possible confusion, the two seperate east and west sales were dissolved after the first season. Windy Willows renamed their sale and we carried on with the Black Harvest legacymarketing through Gerry and Betty Wyatt's facility south west of Kisbey, Sk. Through all the years and changes one thing has always stayed the same; to raise an honest product for our customers. We believe strongly in the Black Harvest motto: "Here yesterday, today and tomorrow." We are not here today - gone tomorrow purebred breeders looking for short term glory. We are honest, dependable, hard working people dedicated to the business of producing breeding stock for the beef industry over the long haul - people you can trust!
