Iceberg was purchased through the Cattlemans Classic Bull Sale, where he was high selling bull at $8,100. He exhibits extreme depth of rib and thickness down through his lower quarter. He is extremely widebased and has excellent feet and legs. His mother is a very impressive individual with a high quality udder. She was purchased by Dryland Angus through the Gartner-Denowh Angus Ranch Fall Production Sale, where she was the lead off bred heifer. Ice, as we call him has an outcross pedigree for those who are looking for a change in genetics.

Wow are we excited!!! We watched this calf in his young life and were so impressed. He may be the most powerful Leachman Right Time son to date. We thought at the time he would be the bull to follow our Iceberg herd sire and if we had the chance we should try to own him. Shane and Mark of course did offer him at the Masterpiece where he did sell for $22 000 to Johnson Livestock of Peebles and we were left kicking ourselves. After a short time we approached David & Andrew about buying into Duration and we were lucky to be able to purchase half interest and not only obtained a good bull but have a very good up and coming Angus partner.

Duration's dam HA Beletta 0219 is one of the Angus breed's most productive cows not only has produced Duration, but also the $40 000 Centennial bull owned by Soo Line & Forsyth Ranch and the Moonshine 001 son owned by Summit Creek of Central Butte, SK.

Duration has an awesome set of number with a very good set of carcass measurements to add to the mix. He held up very well after breeding 35 females at our place and Johnson's. We look forward to the Duration calves out of the iceberg daughters. These have two of the breed's best cows in their genetics. The $80 000 Beletta cow and the $20 000 GDAR Forever Lady 916 cow (the dam of Iceberg). Don't miss the boat like we almost did!!!
